In modern Italy, people communicate mostly in regional dialects. It is estimated that about half of Italy’s population does not speak standard Italian as a native language. Standard Italian is based on Tuscan, especially its Florentine dialect. For Italian voice-over we recommend that an educated Italian artist is used who has no strong regional accent.
