Professional audio editing:
At Adelphi, we offer professionally edited audio as a standard for all of our voice over projects. But what exactly does this mean? Go here and we will briefly look at what we do with the audio before we deliver it to our clients, turning the ‘raw’ unedited audio data into professional, clean-sounding voice-over files. Also included in our quality checks are, listening to the audio to check if errors have been made, pronunciation is correct, all the segments have been recorded, the timings are right, files are correctly split and named; we take out overly long pauses and normalise the levels so all the audio is of the same volume.

Tips for voice-overs
Check the script for any spelling error or grammar issues before the recording. This reduces the chance of any mistakes being made and re-recording to correct them, saving you time and money.
Make sure the script you send is the final version before we start recording, any changes afterwards can be expensive to rectify.
Make a list or glossary of words, product names etc that need to be kept in English.
Providereference materials and find out if the subject has already been translated or voiced into the language you require. This might mean there are already established ways to spell and pronounce product names etc.
CheckVideo usage as many voice artists charge depending on the end usage of the video i.e TV broadcast, radio broadcast, internet, IVR and e-learning.
Be aware ofbuyouts for broadcast usage, as the buyout duration may differ in terms of cost and length (the period of when the material can be shown i.e weeks, months and years) depending on the country and regions the material is broadcast in.
Hmong voice-over translations
Our experienced translation project management team will work with you to understand your project in order to manage the workflow from concept to delivery. Adelphi ensures that all our translators are professional and work only into their mother tongue. This ensures accuracy. Adelphi can translate into over 120 different languages. We also specialise in translating rare and difficult languages, which means we can provide one point of contact for any language enquiry.
We have many years experience providing translations for media projects we understand the process to get the most out of your project, unlike other translation agencies who will have little understanding of translating for voice-overs and subtitling projects and often provide translations that are too long, not timed properly or that use fonts unsuitable for the software to be used.
Our transcription services provide time-coded scripts for translation. The length of some languages can expand when compared to English and care must be taken in the translation to keep the true meaning of the English, while staying within the time frame allowed. We sometimes have to edit the English to make a more concise version because the spoken version of many languages is much longer than the English.
Adelphi Studio also translates and produces foreign language subtitles in all video formats such as MOV, MPEG-2, WMV, FLV, etc., making it ready to publish for film, TV, the web or as a DVD with language menus.
Adelphi Studio offers subtitling and voice-over services globally from our offices in the UK and the USA.
All US, Canadian, and South American enquiries should be directed to our US office while all other enquiries should go to our UK office.
