Quality audio editing:
At Adelphi, we offer professionally edited audio as a standard for all of our voice over projects. But what exactly does this mean? Go here and we will briefly look at what we do with the audio before we deliver it to our clients, turning the ‘raw’ unedited audio data into professional, clean-sounding voice-over files. Also included in our quality checks are, listening to the audio to check if errors have been made, pronunciation is correct, all the segments have been recorded, the timings are right, files are correctly split and named; we take out overly long pauses and normalize the levels so all the audio is of the same volume.

Czech voice-over translations
If the voice-over is going to be used over a video of a different language, then the voice-over translation may include time-codes to help the voice-artist and engineer sync up the voice to the video. Style of translation can be important for voice-over translation and must reflect the genre, such as if it is for marketing, public information, drama, etc. The translator will receive a copy of the video as a reference and be instructed to translate in a style matching the source material. All our translators have signed an NDA (non-disclosure agreement).
The translation itself is just a part of this service. Our experienced team will work with you to fully understand your project in order to effectively manage the workflow from concept to completion. Our ultimate aim is to facilitate your communication objectives. Adelphi ensures that all our translators are professional and work only into their mother tongue. This ensures accuracy. Adelphi is also a member of ATC the Association of Translation Companies.
We also provide transcriptions in any language, to provide time-coded scripts for translation. The length of many languages will expand when compared to original English and care must be taken in the translation to keep the true meaning of the English, while staying within the time frame allowed. For voice-overs and depending on the language, we sometimes have to edit the English to make a more concise version of the original, this is because the spoken version of many languages is much longer than the English and would not fit in the allocated time-slot. Of course, the edited English is approved by the client before translation into Czech.
The level of Czech voice-over required can vary. Some clients require a high level, BBC style Czech voice-over artists for commercial use, others require just a clear reading voice, while some prefer a Czech voice-over by a local amateur. The choice is the clients. Depending on the subject matter, some choose a male or female for their Czech voice and specify a specific age group.
