At Adelphi, we offer professionally edited audio as a standard for all of our voice-over projects. But what exactly does this mean? Go here and we will briefly look at what we do with the audio before we deliver it to our clients, turning the ‘raw’ unedited audio data into professional, clean-sounding voice-over files. Also included in our quality checks are, listening to the audio to check if errors have been made, pronunciation is correct, all the segments have been recorded, the timings are right, files are correctly split and named; we take out overly long pauses and normalize the levels so all the audio is of the same volume.
Recent work
A major US manufacturing company came to us to have their videos voiced and time synced in both Latin American Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese. We used four professional voice-over artists (David S and Natan, Tomas M and Lucianno P respectively) for just under 10 minutes’ worth of material, and our technical team had to slot in and retime portions to fit with the original speakers.
The videos were so well received that they came back to us with a 30-minute script for their President’s tour, which we also cut into separate files to match with a PowerPoint presentation.
A major international TV streaming service came to us to localize their explainer videos before rolling them out across the world. We produced over 1,000 words of informative, friendly voice-over in US English, Spanish, Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Italian, Japanese, and Thai.

Tips for voiceovers
Check the script for any spelling errors or grammar issues before the recording. This reduces the chance of any mistakes being made and re-recording to correct them, saving you time and money.
Make sure the script you send is the final version before we start recording, any changes afterward can be expensive to rectify.
Make a list or glossary of words, product names, etc that need to be kept in English.
Providereference materials and find out if the subject has already been translated or voiced into the language you require.This might mean there are already established ways to spell and pronounce product names etc.
CheckVideo usage as many voice artists charge depending on the end usage of the video i.e TV broadcast, radio broadcast, internet, IVR, and e-learning.
Be aware ofbuyouts for broadcast usage, as the buyout duration may differ in terms of cost and length (the period of when the material can be shown i.e weeks, months, and years) depending on the country and regions the material is broadcast in.
