Arabic Graphics localization
We localize any graphics in the packaging but depending on the source image we might need the original layered data with live text to work with. We have the latest Adobe CC applications on Apple Mac computers.

Data required

We need to be provided with the original English artwork for us to adapt, this is best supplied as a “collect or package” which needs to include all the fonts and links to the document and any layered PSD files that contain text if they are going to be localized. We cannot create a print-ready PDF as the deliverable without these.

Deliverable data

We can supply the finished artwork as a print-ready PDF set to your specifications.

  1. Many languages expand once translated from English, so it is best if you leave some space for this. If in doubt, just give us a call and we’ll be happy to help.
  2. Bold, italics and even colours in the same paragraph may not translate into the target language. Avoiding these will keep your costs down and speed up the process.
  3. Drop caps and uppercase are not supported in some languages.
  4. If you want to place text over an image, try to add it to the document rather than in the image itself. That way we can edit exactly what you need changing.
  5. We can advise on fonts to match the original as close as possible

Yoruba brochure translation

Yorùbá is a tonal language with three tones: high, mid and low. The high tone is indicated by an acute accent (á, é, ẹ́, í, ó, ọ́ and ú). The mid-tone is not marked and the low tone is marked with a grave acute (à, è, ẹ̀, ì, ò, ọ̀ and ù).

Graphics localization
If you have any text in your graphics we can localize them into Yoruba, to do so we require the original ‘live text’ files such as in Photoshop or Illustrator. We have the latest Adobe CC applications on Apple Mac computers.

Data needed

We require to be provided with a “collect or package” of the original English artwork for us to adapt it into Yoruba this should include the fonts and any images linked to the document, without these we cannot create a print-ready PDF as the deliverable.

Deliverable data

We can supply the finished Yoruba artwork and a print-ready PDF set to your specifications.

Welsh brochure translation

Welsh has some characters that are not standard and do not appear in many English fonts, such as â, ê, î, ô, û, ŵ, ŷ. We are presently setting over 10 brochures in Welsh and unfortunately, the font used by the English designer does not work with these characters. So before we start we have to change all the fonts in the design to one that does work, which is, of course, time-consuming and adds costs to the project.

Graphics localization
If you have any text in your graphics we can localize them into Welsh, to do so we require the original ‘live text’ files such as in Photoshop or Illustrator. We have the latest Adobe CC applications on Apple Mac computers.

Japanese brochure translation and localization

Our in-house Japanese project manager Hiroko, looks after all our Japanese typesetting projects. We produce all kinds of Japanese printed materials including corporate brochures, packaging, business cards, posters and manuals.

Japanese is one of the few languages which takes up less space when translated from English. Japanese also has no spaces between words, so you need to be able to read Japanese to make sure that any words are not cut in half at the end of sentences.
